Hermann gas equipment is designed for heating large areas. Double-circuit units additionally supply housing with hot water. The equipment is equipped with convenient control with a display. If a malfunction occurs in the system, a code is displayed on the screen that indicates the cause of the malfunction. All error codes of the gas boiler "Herman" we list in the table.
Operational Features
The design of the boiler may vary depending on the series. So, the Habitat dual-circuit device (Habitat 2) can heat an area of up to 280 m², while it has compact dimensions.
Ignition occurs automatically, the boiler is equipped with sensors for protection against traction disturbance, overheating, and flame extinguishing. The equipment reacts to voltage fluctuations: in this case, the automation is triggered and the fuel ceases to flow into the burner.
A series of "Micra" (Micra 2) also applies to dual-circuit types. The secondary heat exchanger allows you to heat water for hot water supply (DHW). The settings are mechanical, the case has a wall arrangement. There is flame control, ignition.
Thesi 23 E models are presented from the new line. The equipment has a capacity of 30 kW and a throughput of 17 liters per minute. These boiler models have an automatic make-up function, which turns on at reduced pressure.
Malfunction codes
The manufacturer indicates the characterization in the model manual. But it is not always clear to the user. Therefore, we will reveal the meanings of the errors and tell you how to perform an independent repair.
Error code | Value | How to fix the problem |
E01 | Lack of flame. | If the flame goes out after ignition, try again by pressing the “Reset” button. Open the gas valve all the way. Ensure that the phase and neutral connections are correctly positioned. Imbalance of the “neutral” is possible: in this case, the burner lights up normally, but the system “does not see” the flame. In this case, error 01 occurs. |
E02 | Overheat protection tripped. | Turn off the appliance, give it time to cool. After repeat ignition. If nothing happens, consult a specialist. |
E03 | The flue gas sensor fired. | Reverse thrust is possible with a gust of wind, which leads to the inclusion of protection. Light the burner again with the reset button. Check the chimney shaft. If soot and debris have accumulated there, a cleaning is necessary. |
E05 | The temperature sensor has failed. “Service” lights up on the screen. | You can replace the sensor yourself or contact service. |
E05 | DHW temperature sensor malfunction. | |
E09 | Maintenance required. | By clicking on the “reset” button, you can continue to use the boiler, but after three times the error sign will hang on the screen. Inspection master required |
E10 | The sensor below indicates a pressure drop. | Tighten the taps and bleed air |
E11 | Code appears in SE models. The system is blocked by a smoke detector. | Disconnect the device from the mains completely, then restart. If the code has not disappeared, call the wizard. |
E18 | The system is fueled by water. Pressure drop. | Wait until the procedure is completed, tighten the make-up valve. After that, the error will disappear. In case of other problems, the system will additionally display E19, E21 icons. |
E19 | Recharge time has come. The procedure did not complete. | Check the water tap and connections for leakage. Open the hot water supply from the boiler. If the flow rate is normal, the problem is a leak or a malfunction of the technique. If the flow is weak, restore recharge and reboot. |
E21 | Low pressure even after three reboots. | Turn on the STAND-BY mode and disconnect the device from the network. After turning on, did the code appear again? In this case, call a specialist. |
E22 | Incorrectly saved data. The Service icon is lit. | Contact the service center. |
E24 | Received a signal from the thermostat. | It is characteristic for floor models. The floor is likely to heat up. Turn off the boiler. Wait 30 minutes for the floor to cool and restart. |
E32 / E33 | Wiring error. | Contact the service center. |
E35 | Flame problems. | The flame sensor is triggered, indicating the presence of fire in the burner when it should not be. Replace the sensor; call for service. |
E36 | The fuse responded. | Reboot the device. |
E38 | The outdoor thermometer is out of order. | Perform diagnostics and replacement. |
E39 | Frozen radiator. | Water sensors detected a drop in temperature to 0 degrees. If after 15 minutes the temperature does not rise, contact the service. |
E42 | Microprocessor error. | The problem is fixed by a specialist. |
Often, Hermann boiler users complain that when switching from “winter” to “summer” mode, the appliance does not switch to heating water. In winter mode, the system does not turn on a hot tap, so the pump runs on heating without stopping. The reason is the flow sensor, which when turned on, sends a signal to the control board. When changing modes, switch slowly and carefully.
Now you can start troubleshooting. Carry out a timely inspection to avoid problems with the operation of the boiler.
